Rest-day nutrition without overthinking it
Rest days are when the body adapts to training. Regular protein, vegetables, carbohydrates and fluids continue to support recovery.
Energy needs may be slightly lower for some people, but drastic restriction can increase hunger and reduce readiness for the next session.
Use appetite and the wider weekly plan as guides. A flexible routine is more sustainable than treating rest days as punishment.
